BYLA’s 2023 Spring Season is open to players who live in or attend school within the Village of Bronxville. Players from outside BXV and its schools will be considered on a case by case basis.

Practices for grades 3-8 will officially begin the week of April 11. Practices will be held at Iona’s BXV campus (turf & grass softball field), the Bronxville School, and Tibbett’s turf fields. Times and locations are still TBD but will be communicated to each team by the team manager. Extra pre-season practices may take place before April 11, based on availability.

Practices for grades K-2 will begin April 16 and will take place at the Bronxville School. They will take place on Sundays, as well as two Saturdays in June (4/16, 4/23, 4/30, 5/7, 5/21, 6/3, 6/4, 6/10, 6/11). 2nd graders may also have a second weekly practice added based on coach availability. Times will be communicated by managers in the coming weeks.

All players in grades 3-8 will receive a new uniform this year, that is included in the cost of registration. Uniforms will be distributed by team managers at the start of the season. Players in grades K-2 will not need uniforms.

All players in grades 1-8 must have full, correct equipment to participate. Please visit https://www.usalacrosse.com/equipment to ensure that your player has the correct equipment.

Kindergarteners will only need to bring a stick to practice. Stores such as Lacrosse Unlimited and Blueline West sell great starter packages and can cut down the shaft to fit your child.

All players must have USA Lacrosse memberships valid through June 30, 2023 in order to participate. Please be sure that your player/s memberships are valid through June 30. Please visit https://www.usalacrosse.com/ to sign up or renew if needed. If you do not have a USA Lacrosse membership, or if it does not run through to June 30, you will not be able to complete registration.

BYLA will continue to follow all state and BXV School health guidelines.
